A New Athos day works best as a flexible sequence: New Athos Cave, New Athos Monastery, the Psyrtskha water route and, only if timing and weather allow, Anacopia Fortress. The goal is a balanced town day, not a race through every headline stop.
A short canyon walk and a meal by the water, best treated as a flexible stop shaped by weather, water level, walkway condition and current restaurant operation.
A family day around Gagra works best in short blocks with shade, water, food and an easy way to shorten the route. Ease depends on children’s ages, heat, sea conditions, roads, queues and local services.
A long inter-town day linking Gagra’s resort coast with a Sukhum city walk, best done with an early start, access checks and a clear point where the route can be shortened.
The route to Gega Waterfall and Lake Ritsa depends on road condition, rain, vehicle suitability and the driver's judgement. Treat it as a flexible mountain day with time margin, grip-soled shoes and a backup plan if Gega is not sensible.
A full-day Tkvarcheli district route through Akarmara and nearby abandoned settlements, planned around daylight, road conditions, respectful conduct and ruin safety.
Pitsunda and Gagra can work as one sea-and-pines day if the route stays flexible. Check road, weather, group pace and operating details locally, and avoid promising a perfect day without a backup plan.

An Abkhazian food route should be built around confirmed arrangements, group pace and safe transport, not promises of “authentic” flavour. Farms, tastings, menus and purchases all need checking in advance.
