Little Ritsa: a quiet lake reached on foot
Little Ritsa is not a quick add-on to the main Ritsa shore, but a walking route with forest, height gain, cold water and limited infrastructure. Start early, wear grippy shoes, keep descent margin and skip the ascent after rain or in poor visibility.
After busy Ritsa, the route to Little Ritsa changes the rhythm: less noise, more forest, damp roots, stone and cool air. Quiet does not make it easy; footwear, water, daylight and willingness to turn back before fatigue matter here.
Walking part of the day
Treat Little Ritsa as a real walking section, not just another point. Before climbing, judge weather, trail condition and group energy: wet roots, clay and stone after rain can quickly slow the pace.
Shore and water
The shore is not a managed beach. Do not jump, enter the water without understanding depth, temperature and exit, or step onto wet stones for photos. If you need a shorter water pause, keep Молочный водопад: белая вода и мокрый камень у дороги на Рицу as a simple fallback, and compare wider views with Смотровая Рицы: панорама без спешки и риска у края and Смотровая башня на Рице: короткий подъём к другому углу озера.
Return
After the lake pause, the descent remains, and it often needs more attention than the climb. Do not combine Little Ritsa with an overloaded Озеро Рица: горное зеркало Абхазии day without margin; it is better to return in daylight and without rushing.
