Zipline over the Bzyb: a short flight that depends on the operator
The Bzyb zipline is a brief roadside activity on the Ritsa route, fully dependent on the operator, weather and platform condition. Join only when restrictions are clear, equipment checks are careful and your own decision is calm.
The zipline gives a quick view over the Bzyb: river below, rock and road nearby, and the suspension bridge in the same corridor. The ride is short, so do not agree because of a queue or group pressure; staff, harness checks, platform condition, wind and your own comfort matter more.
Before the launch
Before paying, ask about age, weight and health restrictions, cost, landing procedure and how you return. Watch whether staff check the harness carefully and explain braking, body position and the finish before anyone clips in.
What to secure
Remove or firmly secure phones, glasses, hats, scarves and loose pockets. If height makes you freeze, say so before stepping onto the platform rather than after you are clipped in.
Weather and waiting
Wind, rain, wet platforms, unclear instructions or staff caution are enough reason to skip the launch. During busy periods, do not let a queue push the rest of the Ritsa road plan into darkness. A short stop at Подвесной мост через Бзыбь: короткий вид на реку с понятными правилами or a pause by Озеро Рица: горное зеркало Абхазии can replace the ride if conditions are poor.
