Tsandripsh Beach: rocky shore near the White Cliffs
Tsandripsh Beach is a rocky-pebble coastal stop near the White Cliffs. It can be good for views and a short calm-sea swim, but entry, footing, swell and services vary.
This shore is attractive because it is uneven: pale rock, darker pebbles, slabs and changing water colour. The same unevenness makes it a place to inspect before swimming rather than a beach where comfort can be assumed.
What to expect
This is a rocky-pebble sector near White Cliffs of Tsandripsh: rocky coastal landmark, not a universal soft-entry beach. It works well for sea views, photos and short water time in calm conditions, but may be awkward for small children, tired travellers or anyone who needs a predictable bottom.
How to choose a spot
Look at algae, wet slabs, wave direction, depth and the exit before you enter. If the sea is unsettled, stone is slick or bottom visibility is poor, keep the stop to a shoreline walk or move to Tsandripsh Sandy Beach: easier shore near Psou.
Logistics
The beach can fit after Psou Border Crossing: flexible start of the Abkhazia route or before departure, but border and road timing can shift. Avoid making it the only swim plan of the day.
Details
Practical: Comfort on this shore depends on the actual section.
- Water shoes or grippy sandals are strongly recommended.
- Do not swim with swell, slippery slabs or poor bottom visibility.
- Bring water and sun protection; shade and services may be limited.
- Keep belongings close on a transit-heavy day.
- Use Tsandripsh Sandy Beach: easier shore near Psou as the simpler backup.
