Kyasok Beach: wide shore between Sukhum and Agudzera
Kyasok Beach, also known as Lokomotiv, is a wide pebble shore on the eastern side of Sukhum. Come for space and a simple sea day, but not for reliable service, perfect water or guaranteed emptiness.
Kyasok works when you want more shoreline and less city noise. The surface is pebbly, while access and water clarity depend on weather, waves and the exact spot, so choose by what you see rather than by an old description.
Space and water
The shore is wide, but conditions change: waves can leave debris at the edge, large pebbles make entry harder and calm-looking water does not guarantee safe swimming. First assess the bottom, current, wind and whether other people are nearby.
How to find it
The simplest way is to think of this as the beach on the way to Агудзера: санаторные корпуса, пляж и осторожная прогулка южнее Сухума. Келасурская стена: фрагменты большой оборонительной линии у Сухума and roads out toward the eastern districts can help as reference points, but choose the final approach by a clear public route, not through private plots.
Infrastructure
Service is minimal: this is a place for a towel, water, shade you bring yourself and decisions made on site. For a more predictable beach format nearby, look at Синопский пляж: песчаный берег с проверкой условий, and for a short city swim use Центральный пляж Сухума: короткая городская пауза у воды.
Details
Practical: Plan Kyasok as a self-sufficient beach without guaranteed facilities.
- Bring water, food, sun protection, water shoes and a bag for rubbish.
- Swim only in calm water with a clear entry; do not go far alone.
- Reach the shore by open, clear approaches, not through yards or closed areas.
- In the evening, stay closer to exits and other people, with margin for the return.
- Good pairing in suitable conditions: Kyasok → Агудзера: санаторные корпуса, пляж и осторожная прогулка южнее Сухума → Sukhum.
