Architectural Flaneur: Old Sukhum
An Old Sukhum architecture walk works best as a short, exterior-first and respectful route: facades, courtyards only by permission, weather-aware pavements and no entry into closed or unstable buildings.
Look from public streets and do not turn the walk into a hunt for private courtyards. In heat, rain or dusk, shorten the route; closed entrances, construction sites and unsafe houses are not sightseeing spaces.
City details on foot

There is no need to present the city as a precise catalogue of styles unless the route itself supports that precision. A better logic is one strong facade, several details on the way, a shaded pause and an exit toward a more open street or the seafront.
For mixed-pace groups, define a short version before starting. Flaneuring only works while attention remains; heat, rain and fatigue quickly turn it into a frustrating block-by-block march.
